We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and proactive Workshop & Logistics Supervisor to oversee our daily workshop operations, supply chain logistics, and administrative compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of DOT and FMCSA regulations, and the ability to handle client-facing and financial administrative tasks.
• Knowledge of the workshop area and mechanical processes regarding tractor-trailers; no mechanical work will be performed, just supervise.
• Supervise workshop staff, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity.
• Generate and maintain detailed daily/weekly activity and progress reports for upper management.
• Manage shift scheduling, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution for team members.
2. Logistics & Client Relations
• Oversee logistical operations to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing communications professionally.
• Handle claims, accidents, or unforeseen incidents (siniestros) promptly, providing effective solutions and maintaining client trust.
3. Financial & Accounting Support
• Manage basic accounting administrative tasks, including invoicing (facturación).
• Handle check deposits and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
4. Human Resources & Administration
• Maintain up-to-date, organized, and confidential employee files and records.
• Ensure all onboarding and personnel documentation complies with company policies.
5. Safety & Regulatory Compliance (DOT & FMCSA)
• Ensure strict compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
• Proactively resolve, appeal, or settle any fines, violations, or legal notices issued to the company.
Requirements & Qualifications
• 25+ years old
• English/Español (indispensable)
• Proven experience as a supervisor in logistics, workshop management, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations is mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of accounting processes, invoicing systems, and administrative management.
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and crisis-management skills.
• Strong bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish) are highly preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple responsibilities.
