Local Foam Company is currently hiring a foam insulation tech. The foam insulator (or spray foam technician) installs polyurethane foam insulation in residential and commercial buildings to enhance thermal resistance, improve energy efficiency, and create air-tight seals. Responsibilities include operating high-pressure spraying equipment, preparing surfaces, protecting areas from overspray, and adhering strictly to safety protocols while working in attics, walls, and crawl spaces.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Equipment Operation: Set up, maintain, and operate spray foam rigs, hoses, and air compressors.
Application: Spray foam into wall cavities, attics, ceilings, and crawl spaces, ensuring proper thickness and coverage.
Preparation & Cleanup: Remove old insulation, seal gaps, and protect surrounding areas from overspray.
Safety Adherence: Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as respirators, and follow safety protocols to manage chemical hazards.
Job Site Management: Read blueprints, measure spaces, and clean up the work area after installation.
Requirements & Skills:
Physical Stamina: Ability to work in confined spaces, stand for long periods, and lift heavy equipment.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, foam chemistry, mixing ratios, and equipment maintenance.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring even, gap-free application for proper sealing.
